The night begins with a VIP Reception in the Folly Board Room with appetizers and cocktails between 6pm and 7pm. The On-Stage portion of the night will begin at 7pm with a panel discussion on the nature of collaboration in todays artistic world. Collaborative Artist Performances between 8pm to 10pm with an Intermission at 9pm.

“Mesmerizing” - The Atlantic
superbly crafted songs that blend timeless music with a contemporary perspective –
drawing a bead on modern life with grace, humor and gravity through the earthy poetry
of her lyrics. Those songs are buoyed by a performing style that balances Hunt's
virtuosity with the down-home gospel, soul and R&B that's part of her DNA.
The title track is a perfect example of Hunt's art, with its shimmering guitar and
B-3 organ providing a gorgeously textured canvas for her haunting, soulful voice. And its
storyline is an equally deep illustration of her multi-faceted writing, celebrating both the
joy of life and its impermanence, while quietly reminding that the Earth is a delicate and
mortal place that must be tended to flourish.
"That song was the key to the album's identity," Hunt explains. "I had already
written most of the songs, and felt they were about the things that are important to us all
as people, but 'The Beautiful Bones' connected them. I was inspired by looking out my
kitchen window while I was playing guitar and seeing the bare branches of a tree covered
in snow, and I started to think about the layers we all have in our lives and the
possibilities that come with each of them. Fifteen minutes later the song was done."

to solidify his reputation as a creative force in the roots genres. C
But my music is not just Bolivian. I travel through my music. Through these instruments, and the quality of the sounds that they can produce, takes me to landscapes that I have never seen in this lifetime. Music is a mirror of a culture - its geography and its landscapes. It is also the medium in order to transport the musician and the listener to these lands that the spirit already recognizes. We can cross time and space together.
Beau's performances have been described as "pointedly musical" by Paul Horsley The Kansas City Star. He regularly performs and records with some of the greatest artists in Tango, Flamenco and classical music as he seeks to integrate different musical cultures with diverse audiences. Beau studied classical guitar at the UMKC Conservatory of Music under Douglas Niedt where he received a Master of Music. It was at this time that Beau met many of the musicians that he still performs with today such as tenor, Nathan Granner, soprano, Victoria Botero, composer/pianist, Brad Cox, and Argentine Tango quintet Tango Lorca. He has continued his own musical studies with such masters as Antonio Andrade, Pedro Cortez and Luis Heredia of La Repompa de Málaga. Through his many diverse projects and ensembles, Beau has had the great fortune of performing in almost every state in the United States. In addition, Beau has toured extensively in Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Switzerland, Turkey and Russia.

Victoria Botero - soprano
With a voice described as "clear, beautiful and thrilling" Colombian-American Soprano Victoria Botero deftly passes between opera, concert and world music stages in repertoire spanning the early baroque to living composers. Her most recent work has been with the critically acclaimed duo Botero Bledsoe with guitarist Beau Bledsoe in programs that feature the intersection of art, folk and popular music from around the world. Their new CD Un ramo de voz (Tzigane) was released in 2013 followed by a concert tour in the Midwest.

Karim Memi - vocalist, guitar
Originally from Buenos AIres, Argentina, Karim is a internationally respected performer of Argentine Tango. Her mastery of a vast South American repertoire and songs from France and Spain make her one of the most versatile performers in Kansas City. She was a featured performer on the Tango Lorca recording "Mujer Sola" Tzigane Music 2005 and continues to record and perform throughout the U.S and abroad.

Fedra Cooper Barrera - vocalist
From Vera Cruz, Mexico, Fedra began her professional career at sixteen in as a model and actress with Televisa under the tutelage of Ernesto Alonso and the great actress Aurora Molina. She later graduated from the school of Miguel Angel Valles with honors at the age of eighteen. Fedra was soon employed by the popular Mexican vocalist Luis Miguel as his principal backing vocalist where she toured Europe, South America and Asia extensively for eight years. Soon after, she recorded her first single with producer Alan Coelho that received airplay in the U.S. and Mexico and later recorded her first solo record produced by Pablo Ortiz. She currently resides in Kansas City and is the manager of the Latin pop group "Miratti".

Jeff Harshbarger - bass
Voted 2011 Person of the Year by Plasticsax.com and Best Bassist by Pitch Magazine, Jeff Harshbarger has had quite an eclectic career. A prolific composer and bandleader in his own right, Jeff has recorded and performed across the globe with such varied artists as Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Bobby Watson, Allison Miller, Curtis Fuller, Forever Tango, Eugene Chadborne, Milt Abel, Tango Lorca, Jimmy Carl Black, Krystle Warren, Snuff Jazz, Brad Cox, Nathan Granner, Ghosty, The People's Liberation Big Band of the Greater Kansas City Area and Forrest Whitlow. He is a co-founder of Tzigane Music, an artist-run collective and record label, and is the curator of Jeff Harshbarger Presents: An Alternative Jazz Series, promoting new improvised music in Kansas City. An Artist in Residence for Escape to Create, Jeff has received numerous grants and awards, including The Kennedy Center's Betty Carter Fellowship, the Steans Institute Fellowship and the Professional Development Grant from the Creative Capital Foundation.

Victor Penniman - viola da gamba
Victor Penniman is a violist da gamba (traditional and electric), composer, producer and educator. He has performed as a soloist and with numerous Historical Performance ensembles, including the Oregon Bach Festival, The Tallahassee Bach Parley, the Kansas City Baroque Consortium, as well as countless modern groups covering a wide variety of genres and repertoire. Based in Kansas City, MO, he holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Operation of Early Music Programs from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

Rich Wheeler - saxaphones
Rich Wheeler has been a professional saxophonist and saxophone teacher in the Kansas City area for the past 10 years. Rich studied saxophone with the internationally known Vince Gnojek, and jazz with the equally well known Dan Gailey at the Kansas University. Rich has performed across the US and Europe, and can be heard locally with the Rich Wheeler Quartet, Brandon Draper New Quintet, Topshelf Tunes, Peoples Liberation Big Band of Greater Kansas City, and Son Venezuela. Rich can also be heard on many albums including recording dates with The Yards, New Vintage Big Band, Boulevard Big Band, the Fraga band, two albums from the Brandon Draper Quintet, and the new release "Tamam Abi" by Alaturka.
